CHFA awards $7.5M in affordable-housing credits | via Hartford Business Journal

The state's housing finance agency is awarding $7.5 million in tax credits to seven affordable-housing developments across Connecticut, including Hartford's Twin Acres and Summit Park, authorities say.

The 9-percent tax credits Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) awarded will build or rehab 347 housing units in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, Simsbury, and Waterbury, the governor's office said Tuesday.

In addition, the credits will create 1,079 jobs, generate $150.7 million in economic activity, and add $12.1 million in state revenue, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's office said.
